This is pretty much the same Darth Vader (originally released in 2005's Evolutions line) we've seen over and over again, only this time with a pretty poorly done removable helmet feature that makes the latest Vader release not worth your time or money. Not only is the helmet a mess, but once the third piece is removed, Anakin's face underneath has been painted terribly and the headsculpt is misshapen for some reason (click here to check out an image over at Jedi Temple Archives that illustrates what I'm talking about). So the figure's a disaster from the neck up, and everything else about it is nothing new. So what could Hasbro do to get me excited about buying another new Vader figure after all these years? Well, the Evolutions Vader is a solid figure, but could you imagine Hasbro giving us an awesome new Vader with ball-jointed wrists and hips? Something else a new Vader figure certainly needs is an unlit lightsaber hilt that can attach to the belt. If Hasbro could do that and also get the removable helmet feature right (or just omit it), then we'd have a new Vader figure worth buying! But you can definitely pass on this one though, which seems to be what most people are doing. The Force is not strong with this one.
