Luke's ill-fated gunner from The Empire Strikes Back is definitely an essential addition to line and a must-have for your collection (especially with the release of the awesome new Snowspeeder and the AT-AT) but overall he's nothing overly special in my opinion. There is some cool stuff though, that actually makes him a little more than just another figure in an orange jumpsuit. Dak is super-articulated and includes two weapons. Including a couple extra Rebel weapons was cool of Hasbro to do. Dak probably won't need them but they're good to have, especially the blaster rifle. You can never have too many weapons laying around. One other really cool feature is the removable helmet. This is because Dak's got that really generic helmet that so many pilots are seen wearing. So Dak is actually kind of an ideal army builder, if you're into that kind of thing and don't have enough pilot type figures already. Is Dak perfect? No. My sample has pretty loose joints, and the swivel wrists particularl suck because they pop off way too easily. He also has kind of a wide leg stance, which is annoying. But aside from those issues, Dak's a pretty solid figure, and a good addition to the Star Wars collection. So pick him up if you see him (Dak does seem to be selling faster than most of his wavemates). He'll look great in the gunner seat of the new Snowspeeder or getting squished by an AT-AT.
