(Twin Pod) Cloud Car Pilot wasn’t on most collectors’ wish lists, since we had received a pretty good Cloud Car Pilot back in 2004’s Original Trilogy Collection. But after finally releasing an incredibly awesome Cloud Car in the mid-sized vehicle assortment, Hasbro decided to revisit this character and give us an entirely new figure. And it’s actually one of the best figures in the first wave of The Vintage Collection. Unfortunately, it seems to have gone unnoticed by many since this figure is still hanging on the pegs alongside 4-LOM and Dengar many months after this wave’s initial release. (Twin Pod) Cloud Car Pilot is super-articulated, so in addition to sitting around piloting his Cloud Car, he can also get out and kick some serious Stormtrooper butt if the need arises. His deco is superb, with a highly detailed and brightly colored uniform that also includes a working holster for his blaster pistol. (Twin Pod) Cloud Car Pilot also has a removable helmet. The only reason I’m not giving this figure a full five stars is because of his mustache. It’s not that I’ve got anything against mustaches! I just prefer a figure that’s meant to be purchased in pairs (or more, depending on how many Cloud Cars are in your fleet) to have a more generic headsculpt. Even if you didn’t pick up the Cloud Car (and shame on you if you didn’t), (Twin Pod) Cloud Car Pilot is still a worthwhile purchase, and your Cloud City collection just isn’t complete without him.
