The most notable thing about this release of 4-LOM is that it’s the first time the character has been released on a vintage card with a proper nameplate! As most collectors know, back in the original vintage line in 1980, Zuckuss and 4-LOM’s names were somehow reversed, causing quite a bit of confusion. The newest release of 4-LOM is actually nothing more than a re-release of the 4-LOM figure from 2007’s 30th Anniversary Collection, with minor paint changes. The biggest change here is that the eyes seem to be a darker shade of green. Any other changes that have been made are extremely minimal and hardly noticeable, so I don’t really consider this a “new” figure. But if you missed out on the 2007 release, here’s your opportunity to add the bug-eyed droid bounty hunter to your collection. 4-LOM is an excellent figure with a great paintjob and loaded with articulation. However, if you already have this figure, there’s no point in considering this new release, unless of course you’re a carded collector. 4-LOM doesn’t seem to be the most popular re-release, unfortunately, since he’s definitely one of the biggest pegwarmers from the first wave of The Vintage Collection.
